Rush Hour Jam was formed in the Detroit suburbs by a group of seasoned musicians brought together through church music and a shared love for the songs that shaped their musical roots. What began as a creative outlet quickly evolved into a high-energy live band built around experience, versatility, and a passion for entertaining.
Founded by brothers Larry Kwiecinski (drums) and Dennis Kwiecinski (horns), along with guitarist Jef Veatch, the lineup soon expanded with the addition of bassist Larry Foltran and guitarist Gerard Jankowski, solidifying the band’s sound and direction. A few years later, powerhouse vocalist Cat Favazza joined the group, adding a dynamic and commanding presence to the front of the band. In 2024, the band entered its next chapter with Izzie Simon stepping in on drums.
Rush Hour Jam’s setlist offers a broad spectrum of popular music, including classic rock, ’80s and ’90s favorites, modern hits, and party staples that everyone knows. The band draws from a wide variety of well-known artists and eras, allowing them to adjust each performance to fit the crowd and venue while maintaining high energy from the first song to last call.
